Vision…….Purpose

We are fastly approaching Christmas 2017 and New Years 2018.  People are saying 2018 is the year of new beginnings.  Well in order to have new beginnings you better be doing something different.  Old ways don’t bring new beginnings..trust me on this one.

There is this little prophet in bible, Habakkuk who wrote “write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.  For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.  Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. 2:2-3.”  What Habakkuk wrote wasn’t just words he thought of on his own…it was divine inspiration from God….direction and warning.  Writing the vision still applies to us today.  I believe one of the many ways we make God pleased with us is following His commands especially for our life path.  We can only know this plan by having a close relationship with the Savior.  Yes!! I’m still on my soap box about our life’s purposes and will continue to do so.

One of the ways I wrote the vision for my life was by doing a vision board earlier this year, January to be exact.  I used the time of our church’s consecration to seek God for my purpose..things I knew He had placed on my heart but I needed more confirmation and truth be told I needed courage to accept the plan.  Now, let me just say this…we should fast more than just every January…OoooKAY!!  Whenever I feel led by God to fast: drawing closer to Him, more direction for the current vision or just knowing my own craziness needs to be checked ..it’s fast time.  IJS

Anyway, the board doesn’t have to be elaborate but whatever you feel led to do is fine as long as God is giving you the content.  If you’re writing His plan, goals, dreams, and aspirations..who can’t go wrong.  I used a simple white card stock board and colored pens….and wrote what God gave me.  I placed it on a wall in my bedroom where I could see it daily.  I read it, prayed about it and let God lead me to implement and/or accept things as they occured.  What I can tell you is that most of the things God gave me to place on the vision board have come to past or they have started to manifest in the earliest form.  WOW!!  My surprise factor is because God is soooo AMAZING AND FAITHFUL TO FULFILL HIS WORD….blows my mind!!!
